To reset the TCP/IP to its original state, either you can use the command prompt or the Microsoft Fixit utility
By Using an Elevated Command Prompt
1. At the command prompt, type: netsh int ip reset  and press enter
2. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect!

By Using  Microsoft Fixit utility

Follow the link to download Microsft FixitIt utility  and run it.

To connect to a wireless network, turn on your Wireless Switch and follow these steps
1. If a wireless network is available, you will be notified with an icon as shown in the image below

2. Click on the icon and it will show up the Wireless Network Name and the option to connect.

3. Click on connect button and it will ask for the Wireless Key (Wireless Network Password). Enter your Wireless Network Password (Contact the System Administrator for the Wireless Key/Wireless Network Password)

Some times you might have faced problem with your CD/DVD drive, which will ot detect properly
Reason:
Light bulbThe registry entry of your disc burning software might not have removed properly
Light bulbDue to hardware error (The CD/DVD drive might have become totally unusable)
Fix:
SunIn Run window, type in: regedit and press Enter
At the Registry Editor window, locate, and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
If the Upper filters key is available,right-click and delete it.
and in the same way delete the Lower filters key also
close registry editor
SunIf you want  to accomplish the steps above automatically, try this  FixIt from Microsoft
This should fix the problem if the issue is with the filter buffers.
Suntry checking the power and data cables of the CD/DVD drive. make sure the cables are properly connected.
SunIf the above doesn’t fix the issue, replace the CD/DVD drive.

Your desktop  may not display properly due to following general reasons

Troubleshooting:

SunMake sure the power supply is connected and the power buttons are turned on

SunReconnect the display and power cords and ensure the connections

SunCheck the quality condition of display and power cords. if required, replace the cords

SunIdentify the correct graphics port (display port/ DVI/VGA) and connect to it (All these port cables will only fit into its exact port)

SunTry connecting your desktop to a different monitor and if you identify your pervious monitor is faulty, replace it.

It is possible to  schedule a time for your Ubuntu PC to go off. For this you can type a simple command at the terminal window

sudo shutdown –h +m

(Replace the m with your desired minutes for the computer to go off)

You will be prompted to enter the password. Type in the password and press enter

If you want to cancel the scheduled shutdown, the command is: sudo shutdown –c

Terminal will ask you for the sudo password. type the password and press enter

(Try the sudo shutdown –c command in a new terminal for proper result)

To get the serial Number of your PC from the terminal window, type this command:

sudo dmidecode –s system-serial-number  and press enter

Terminal will ask you for the sudo password. Enter it and your Computer’s Serial Number will be displayed.

User Accounts can be created and password protected from terminal. This can be accomplished by typing two commands.

To create a user account type the following command:

sudo useradd –d /home/Andes_Noraa –m Andes_Noraa

In this example,  the Username and Account folder name is:  Andes Noraa

(You can give a different one)1

To add password for your account, type in: sudo passwd Andes_Noraa  and press enter

Terminal will ask you to type a new password and after that to re-enter

The command for deleting user account through terminal is: sudo userdel
